The Alexander Technique
The Alexander Technique is a way of restoring our natural balance, flexibility and ease of movement. It is not a series of treatments or exercises, but rather a reeducation of the mind and body that helps us discover a new balance in our bodies by releasing unnecessary tension. An Alexander teacher’s role will be to teach you how to be aware of the way you move and how to be in a correct posture the whole time. The realignment of the musculoskeletal structure eases areas of muscle tension and nerve pressure in the neck and back, and allows the body to move more effectively.
