Color Therapy

Color therapy is one of the oldest forms of therapy. It is based on the ancient art of using color and light to treat disease.
Practitioners believe that by altering the colors that surround us, it is possible to enhance health and well-being.

The earliest forms of therapy included the use of colored gems and sunlight. Now, there is a wide range of treatment options available and many practitioners combine the use of color with other complementary therapies such as aromatherapy, massage, reflexology, crystals and yoga.

A simple way to apply color therapy is selecting the appropriate color for balancing the chakra, ( after the assessment of each chakra) ,placing a silk scarf of the same color chosen on the appropriate area/chakra and leave the color to be absorbed by the body. Another way commonly implemented in color therapy is directing the light of the chosen color on the desired area/ chakra for some time so that also the color vibrations are transmitted to the body and create the needed balancing and healing effect.

There are many other simple ways of applying color therapy in many aspects of our lives, through the clothes we wear the decorations we surround ourselves with and even the food we eat. However, the more professional balance must be done by a practitioner for maximum results.
